Methodology

DeckSnipe organizes public tournament records. A briefing summarizes observed results. It is not a prediction or a guarantee of what someone registered today.

Archetype labels

Inside documented classifier coverage periods, decks are classified from their card lists. Signature cards are checked first. They only look at the main deck. When no rule matches, a model makes a guess. It learns each day from the decks our rules and our team have labelled, and it reads the main deck and the sideboard. We keep its guess only when the model is sure enough. Outside those periods, DeckSnipe keeps the label the source gives: Videre's for MTGO decks and Melee's for paper decks. Other lists stay Unknown.

Coverage and omissions

Source data can arrive late, change after publication, or omit events and matches. League publications contain selected undefeated decklists rather than every league result. Preliminary decklists are not published, so preliminary achievements never imply that a list is available.

Paper events come from Melee. At a paper event, most players publish their decklist, but some do not. A player with no published list shows rank and record only.

No public freshness guarantee is made. Refresh policy: daily. MTGO results are corrected for fourteen days. Paper events are read once, after they end.
